Esper Agent Version: 8.9.1749
Announcements
- We are renaming “Channels” in Alerts to “Recipient Lists.” We will also be deprecating SNS functionality for Alerts. All other functionality will remain the same. Expect these changes in the coming releases.
- We now support Red Hat devices for our Linux Beta. Provision a Red Hat device with Seamless Provisioning or manual provisioning. Red Hat devices will share all the same functionality as our Debian offering. Explore Esper Linux device management today!
Bug Fixes and Improvements
- We’ve added support for content management to Custom Roles for Linux devices (Beta). By enabling Transfer content to devices, Transfer content to groups, or Run Script, users with that role will now be able to manage files on Linux devices. Enhance the security of your Linux devices by creating Custom Roles.
- Custom Actions for Linux devices (Beta) will now show the appropriate “Command was queued” message after a button click.
- You can now see all devices when you adjust the filter in Devices & Groups for Battery Percentage. Previously, this filter only applied to Android devices. Now, you’ll see iOS and Linux devices included in the filter results.
- We fixed an issue involving the “Requested Range Not Satisfiable for URL” error which sometimes appeared for Converge at Scale operations. We've made these downloads more robust, so you should see improvements when using Converge at Scale with apps and file installs.
- We’ll be discontinuing the UUID for Linux device seamless provisioning (Beta). You can continue to use the device’s serial number.
- We’ve begun rolling out validation to some of our command APIs. Previously, some APIs would accept incorrect values in their payloads. We’ve fixed this for the ADD_WIFI_AP and SYNC_CONTENT APIs and you’ll now see helpful error messages when passing incorrect values as well.
- We fixed an issue with Pipelines where the filter didn’t work if you selected a particular blueprint. The blueprint filter will now work on the Pipelines page.
- We fixed an issue for the Last Editor field in the Blueprints Manager which would display incorrect data when filters were applied. The last editor field will now remain consistent no matter which filters are applied.
- Esper Agent updates:
- Fixed an issue where the agent wasn’t installing apps post provisioning efficiently.
- Fixed an issue where the agent failed intermittently with a network error when trying to download specific enterprise apps.
- Fixed the LAUNCHABLE_BUT_HIDDEN for apps that were non-launchable.
We’re excited to launch DevRel 171 over the coming days, and the Esper team is hard at work on the next release. Please contact Esper Support to share your thoughts on how Esper can improve future releases.
