Esper Agent Version: 14.1.5380
New Features
- System Updates for Apple Devices. We’ve added System Updates to iOS, iPadOS, and tvOS 18+. Defer system updates, choose whether or not to show system updates to users, version cadence, and other settings are available with this update. These updates are part of Apple’s new Declarative Device Management (DDM) framework. When a user applies these settings and converges, their eligible devices switch to DDM. Learn more about DDM and what it means for your fleet.
- We’ve added a filter for Red Hat devices. Check it out now in Devices & Groups > Customize columns.
- You can now add a Computer name column for Windows devices in the Devices & Groups page.
-
Android Esper Agent Updates:
- Fixed an issue where devices could intermittently fail to connect to WPA2/WPA3 transition networks.

- Fixed an issue where Secure Remote ADB could fail to connect on dual-stack Android devices.
- Fixed an issue where an unexpected local network consent dialog could appear during provisioning on Android 17.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
- Fixed an issue where the Esper CLI couldn’t establish a connection on Foundation devices.
- Fixed an issue where the IMEI was missing from some cellular iOS devices.
- Fixed an issue where the executor failed with a "permission denied" message after an agent update on SELinux-enforcing systems (RHEL / Rocky).
- Improved command delivery after a device restarts by allowing its connection time to recover before using a fallback.
- Reduced delays when creating device operations.
- Fixed an issue where editing a saved Wi-Fi password in the provisioning console could fail or revert the change.
- Changed the operations API so users can cancel an operation but cannot directly set its failure or timeout status.
