Esper Agent Version: v9.3.2875
New Features
- API Documentation Enhancements: You might have noticed that our API documentation has a new look and feel. We’ve recently done some upgrades to make our docs experience more user friendly. You can now send API requests with ease straight from the docs. You’ll also be able to switch between light and dark mode.
Send requests using a mock server.
See the nested structures for JSON request bodies.

- Advanced View Groups: Advanced View now includes an updated interface that lets you easily switch between Devices and Groups. In the Groups view, you’ll see a clearer, more structured representation of your groups, including their assigned devices and any devices within subgroups, making it easier to understand group hierarchy at a glance. Try out Advanced View today.
-
Provision Linux Devices without Serial Numbers: Provisioning some Linux devices—such as Raspberry Pis—previously required extra manual steps because these devices do not expose serial numbers. We’ve simplified this process to make seamless provisioning faster and easier.
You can now download a configuration file along with the seamless provisioning package and integrate it directly into your build. There’s no need to manually extract serial numbers. Simply create an ISO image and provision your devices with ease. Learn more about seamless for Linux.
Esper Agent Updates:
- Added Edge-to-edge UI support for Android 16 devices.
- Added support for controlling the Wake Upon Power feature (enable/disable) on Samsung Knox devices via OEM Config command.
- Added DataWedge configuration auto-import support for Zebra devices.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
- Select VPP App Countries: You can now choose the countries and regions associated with each VPP app. Previously, if a VPP app was assigned to the wrong country, it wouldn’t receive updates and would display a version of 0.0. With this update, you can select up to five regions in Apple MDM Management and then assign those regions when adding or editing VPP apps under Apps > VPP, helping ensure apps receive updates as expected. - We fixed an issue in Custom Actions where transitioning from a dropdown to a button sometimes caused an error. You’ll now be able to transition between the button and dropdown without encountering the error.
- We fixed an issue where some API endpoints showed incorrect api/api parameters and X-Tenant-Id, X-Caller-Id, X-SCAPI-Private-URL headers. The API documentation page has been updated to reflect this change, so you shouldn’t encounter these errors when sending requests.
- We’ve unified the Wipe Device command and the Remove Device command in the Group Event Feed. In the past, two separate entries for this event caused confusion. Now, a single entry will be shown for these commands.
- We now show a toast notification when removing seamless registration from a group.
- We fixed an issue where the Device Report for iOS devices showed multiple entries for the same device. We previously fixed this issue for the Esper Agent iOS app. We’ve now applied this fix to all installed applications on iOS devices. Now, you’ll see only one device entry per report.
- We’ve modified the example text when configuring a kiosk application for Windows in a blueprint. It’s now clearer what the Arguments input field expects (which is a URL).
- We now support DataWedge for Zebra devices without Google Play Store.
We’re excited to launch DevRel 184 over the coming days, and the Esper team is hard at work on the next release. Please contact Esper Support to share your thoughts on how Esper can improve future releases.
