Esper Agent Version: 9.3.2682
Notes: We’ve combined DevRel 181 with DevRel 182.
New Features
- Windows Remote Viewer Improvements. We’ve made several improvements to the Windows Remote Viewer and Control feature. Previously, devices in kiosk mode couldn’t be remote accessed. You can now observe and control the device’s screen even when it’s in kiosk mode. You’ll also be able to start a session while the device is on its lock screen. Finally, you’ll be able to view and control sessions when programs are run by administrator.
-
File Manager Enhancement's for Android: We've made several improvements to the File Manager experience. You can now:
- Upload multiple files at once
- Download compressed files for easier sharing
- Minimize uploads to run in the background
- Check out the changes in File Manager.
- New DPC Param for Logs: You can now disable six-tap log creation using DPC params. While most customers should keep this setting enabled for troubleshooting purposes, disabling log creation allows certain customers to lock devices down further in high security environments.

Android Esper Agent Updates:
- Fixed an issue where Esper Settings couldn’t reliably detect if location access was enabled on some devices.
- Added the DPC param "enableSixTapLogAccess" to disable log access via tap gestures (6 taps on Esper Agent Version or Device ID/Alias) post provisioning.
- Fixed an issue where Remote Control was not working for a few Android 15 devices when updating from a very old Esper Agent version.
- Fixed an issue where the Android Launcher didn't launch by default when configured in a blueprint.
- Fixed a display orientation issue for naturally landscape-oriented devices in Esper Settings.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
- We’ve improved how we handle VPP app update workflows to better handle Apple’s rate limits. VPP app updates should now update at scale as intended.
- We fixed an issue where incorrect information was displayed for the recently provisioned devices in the Devices & Groups Last Provisioned panel. You’ll now once again see your latest provisioned devices in the summary section.
- Previously, in Device Reports, we showed iOS devices based on agent version, meaning a device could have multiple entries if it had multiple versions associated with it. We’ll now show only the latest associated version, meaning devices will have one entry going forward.
We’re excited to launch DevRel 182 over the coming days, and the Esper team is hard at work on the next release. Please contact Esper Support to share your thoughts on how Esper can improve future releases.
