Esper Agent Version: 8.01.0818
New Features
- You now have the ability to assign User Management scopes to a custom role. Previously, only Enterprise admins had access to User Management. Now, Enterprise admins can create a custom user role to manage users without giving those same users access to the entire platform.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
- We fixed an issue where converge commands were stuck in the queue state for prolonged periods. We’ve made a few improvements to this feature, so you should see better performance when when using this feature.
- We fixed an issue where compliance policies appeared in the Devices & Groups page even though the device had been reset and those policies were no longer applied. This issue only affected devices provisioned via Templates.
- We’ve improved error messaging for Google Play timeouts.
- We’ve made the following improvements to the Android Esper Agent:
- Improved detection for active Supervisor plugins.
- You can now uninstall incorrectly signed Supervisor plugins using the Uninstall command.
- We fixed an issue where the agent would fail to change the app’s state to disabled if it was already disabled.
We’re excited to launch DevRel 158 over the coming days, and the Esper team is hard at work on the next release. Please contact Esper Support to share your thoughts on how Esper can improve future releases.
