Esper Agent Version: 13.0.4449
New Features
- Configure Scanners, Barcode Readers, and Other Rugged Peripherals via Blueprint: You can now configure scanners, barcode readers, and other rugged data capture devices (also known as AIDC, or Automatic Identification and Data Capture) directly from a blueprint using the new Rugged Device Configuration section. Upload a DataWedge profile and apply OEM-level hardware settings, including scanner behavior, power, display, security, and wireless options across your Zebra fleet without touching individual devices. Requires Esper Agent 13 or later. For details, see Rugged Device Configuration. Ask the Support team or your Esper contact for Rugged Device Configuration access.
- Choose Setup Assistant Steps for Apple Devices: You can now choose which Setup Assistant steps device users see when a device enrolls through a DEP profile, directly from Apple MDM Management. Turn off steps like Apple ID sign-in, Siri, or Restore from Backup, filter by category or platform, and control whether unattended devices like Apple TV auto-advance through setup. Changes apply to devices that enroll after you save. See all the options in Apple MDM Management.
- Choose how Linux devices are identified during provisioning: We now give you the ability to identify your Linux devices based on MAC address, serial number, and Esper-generated UUID in the order you choose. Ensure the most unique field is checked first before applying a fallback. . Contact Esper Support to have this enabled on your tenant.
