Dates: June 18, 2026
Esper Agent Version: 12.0.4180
New Features
- Commands Can Now Be Cancelled in Bulk: You can now cancel commands sent to devices directly from the Esper console. This is most useful for commands stuck in the queued state on offline devices or devices that are unlikely to check in.
Where you can cancel commands:
- Activity Feed: Cancel one or more bulk actions at once. Open the modal to cancel commands for individual devices or use Cancel All to cancel all queued commands for a group. Supported bulk commands: Converge, Install, Uninstall, Set Geofence.
- Devices & Groups Event Feed: Click the number of devices in the Event Feed to open the modal and cancel commands.
- Individual Device Event Feed: Cancel a command directly from a device's Event Feed.
Commands must be in the queued state to be cancelled. Cancellation is not guaranteed — commands may transition out of the queued state before the cancel action reaches them. For groups with a large number of devices, status updates may take time to reflect. The following commands are not supported for cancellation: PING (UPDATE_HEARTBEAT), UPDATE_DPC, and GPlay INSTALL.
- Control who can cancel commands for Custom Roles: Enable Cancel Commands in Custom Roles so that only trusted users are able to cancel commands. To cancel commands, a user's role must have at least one Device Command scope – also known as Quick Actions (or Group Command scope for group actions) – enabled.
- PPKG Provisioning for Windows Makes Mass Provisioning Possible: You can now provision Windows devices into Esper using a provisioning package (.ppkg) file. PPKG provisioning supports both field deployments, where the package is downloaded directly to a device or distributed via an RMM tool, and out-of-the-box (OOBE) deployment, where the package is built into a Windows image using Windows Configuration Designer. Windows management is currently in Beta. To join the Windows Beta, contact Esper Support. Learn more about PPKG Provisioning.
-
Manage Files on Windows (Beta): You can now browse, upload, download, and manage files on Windows devices directly from the Esper Console. Start a 15-minute session from the File Manager tab on any Windows device to create folders, rename, move, copy, preview, and delete files on the device's C: drive. For details, see File Manager (Windows).

- The Epser Agent for Linux no longer requires glibc, making it compatible for certain Ubuntu versions.
- Fixed an issue where the device apps list was not removed when a WIndows device was removed. The apps list will now be removed along with the device.
