Windows device management is in beta.
To remove a Windows device, go to Devices & Groups and click on the device’s ellipsis menu, or, in the individual device's Overview page, click on the Actions menu.
Then select Remove Device. You may need to scroll down.
Select how you would like to remove the device. Choose from the following options:
- Unenroll and remove the Esper Agent: Removes the device from the console and removes Esper management software from the device. The device will remain in the console until the command is successful.
- Reset the PC: Removes the device from the console and resets the device. The device will remain in the console until the command is successful.
When no options are selected, the device is removed from the console. However, Esper management may still exist on the device which will prevent it from being re-enrolled.
Note: If the device is no longer accessible, you may want to consider leaving both options unchecked. That way, the device entry will be removed from the console. If the device becomes accessible, you can manually disconnect the device by entering its Settings > Accounts > Access work or school. Then choose Disconnect this account.
When a Windows device is removed but not reset, any wallpapers, apps, and other settings originally set by the console will persist on the device.
