- Home Button in Kiosk Mode

Bug Fixes and Improvements
- We’ve standardized command messages (also known as toasts) to make it easier to understand when a command succeeds, queues, or fails.
- Starting with this release, devices will now be able to be provisioned with an automatic timezone in a blueprint. Devices on the current Esper Agent version will also be able to switch from any timezone to automatic time zones.
- We’ve begun implementing infinite scroll throughout the console. First up, we’re adding infinite scroll to our blueprint screens. No more fiddling when adding an app or timezone. Scroll through the list to find the item you’re searching for.
- We fixed an issue where notifications weren’t hidden for Esper apps. We’ve changed the implementation of this feature, so now notifications should be hidden as expected.
- We updated the Esper Settings app description so it now has clearer instructions to access the hidden dock. You can also refer to our handy guide to learn how to access the hidden dock.
- Fixed an issue in a blueprint when an app is set to Launch on Start.
- Added a tooltip to the Wi-Fi toggle in the device’s Wi-Fi access points in Devices & Groups. If you turn off Wi-Fi, and the device has no other network connection, Wi-Fi will automatically turn back on after 10 seconds.
- Fixed notification swipe gestures in Remote Control. Some device UI elements made it difficult to swipe down to view the notification bar. We’ve improved this experience so that these elements shouldn’t impact user experience going forward.
- Fixed device discrepancies in Legacy view. Some devices only appeared in the Blueprints view, despite being part of the Legacy experience when searched for via their serial numbers. You’ll now see the devices in both Legacy and Blueprints view for serial number searches.
- We’re making improvements to our API documentation such as standardizing terms, fixing typos, and adding more descriptions. These improvements are ongoing, but shouldn’t affect any workflows.
- Esper Software Updates will now be enabled by default for all newly created tenants. This means that all new tenants will automatically be on the latest Esper Agent version when they start onboarding devices. We noticed some issues with older versions which is why we’re making the latest version the default going forward.
- We’ve improved the UI of the blueprints screens and made the iOS and Android tabs “sticky” (that means they stay at the top when you scroll down).
We’re excited to launch DevRel 134 over the coming days, and the Esper team is hard at work on the next release. Please contact Esper Support to share your thoughts on how Esper can improve future releases.
