See the apps installed on your devices by generating an app report. App Reports allow you to explore your fleet. Use them to:
- Compare app versions across dates
- See apps on your devices at a glance
- Check if any devices are running out-of-date apps
- Look for suspicious apps
Keep in mind Esper doesn’t keep track of applications installed outside of Esper, that is, sideloaded apps.

Generating an App Report
To generate an app report, choose from the following:
- Date: Reports can be generated from July 1st, 2024 to the current day (up to an hour before the current time). Select a point in time to generate the report. Default: current day.
- Package: Optional filter. Select the package name for the app. Default: All package names.
- App Show State: Optional filter. Select the app’s show state on the device. You can choose from visible (Show) apps, hidden apps, or disabled apps. Default: Show state.
Then press Generate Report.
Allow a moment for the report to be generated.
You can generate one report at a time. Adjust the filters to generate a different report. Reports will show the first 10,000 rows of data.

Filtering and Customization
To customize the columns, click on the more options button.
Choose from the following options:
- Device Name: The device’s console name.
- Alias: The device’s alias name.
- Group Name: The device’s group.
- Package Name: The app package name.
- App Name: The app.
- Version Name: The version name.
- Version Code: The version code.
- App Type: The app’s type according to the Esper console.
- App State: The app’s state: Visible (show), hidden, or disabled.
- Is Kiosk App: Whether or not the app is the kiosk app (only for devices in kiosk mode).
- App Installed Time: The date and time the app was installed on the device.
- Can Clear Data: Whether or not app data can be cleared.
- Can Uninstall: Whether or not the app can be uninstalled.
- Whitelisted: Whether or not the app is allowed.
- Tags: Any tags associated with the device.
- Device Id: The device’s API ID.
- Group Id: The group’s API ID.
Use the search bar to filter the list by device ID, application name, and more up to the first 10,000 rows.
