Most devices come with low battery warnings and Wi-Fi outage notices, but how can you keep track of that at scale?
With Alerts, you'll be informed when one of the following conditions occurs:
- Battery level: When the device's battery is above or below a certain threshold.
- Network: When the device is offline for 10 minutes or more.
- Bluetooth: When Bluetooth is enabled or disabled.
Apply an alert to any number of devices and groups and receive an email or SNS whenever your devices experience outages or loss of power.
The Alerts section displays all the alerts you have created. It displays:
- the name
- alert type
- alert condition
- linked groups
- total number of times the alert was fired
Click on the chevron to see additional details.
The ellipsis (...) at the right of each alert lets you view details about an alert, edit an alert, or delete an alert.
Clicking the name of an alert brings up details about that alert.
The alert history tells you:
- when an alert was triggered.
- the device that triggered it.
- the device group (if applicable).
The alert details tell you:
- For network alerts, the last time the device checked in with Esper and if the device has checked back in.
- For battery alerts, the current battery percentage.
In this example, a network alert was set for devices that hadn't checked in within 16 minutes.
1. An alert was raised for table MAXI-AAAZ when it did not check in with Esper. However, it checked back in after the alert was triggered.
2. An alert was generated when the same device failed to check in the following day.
There may be delays between when an alert is sent and received. Check the history for a breakdown of generated alerts.
