To connect iOS devices to a PEAP wireless network, you’ll need the root certificate and credentials for the Wi-Fi network.
Step 1: In iMazing Profile Editor, create a profile in the General tab. Input a display name, payload scope, and target device type.
Step 2: Go to the Root Certificate tab and upload the certificate.
After uploading the certificate, a UUID will be generated. Copy the UUID from the Payload UUID field. We will use it in the next step.
Step 3: Then go to the Wi-Fi tab and add a configuration profile. Input the required information:
- Service Set Identifier (SSID)
- Encryption Type
- Accepted EAP types: PEAP
- Username and password
- Certificate Anchor UUID: paste the payload UUID from the root certificate step.
- Certificate Required (checked)
Step 4: Save the profile. Then, open the file with any text editor and copy the contents of the file.
Step 5: In the Esper console, in a blueprint, go to the Esper Settings section and select the iOS tab. Then enable the PList option and paste the contents of the file into the input field.
Step 6: Save, publish, and converge the blueprint to the device. After converging, the device should connect the PEAP Wi-Fi network automatically. You can check the root certificate and Wi-Fi profile on the device by going to Settings > General > VPN & Device Management > Esper.
If the device is already connected to a network, you will need to forget the existing network, or tap on the PEAP network in Wi-Fi settings for the device to connect to connect to the PEAP network.
