Esper Artifacts Registry unavailable: service restored after unexpected host restart
Android
If you're unable to access the Esper Artifacts Registry, this article explains what may have caused the outage and what to do next.
About Artifacts Registry outages
The Esper Artifacts Registry is a developer-facing service used for managing and accessing build artifacts. If the registry becomes unavailable, you won't be able to access or deploy artifacts in your development workflows. Note that Artifacts Registry outages do not affect your device management functionality in the Esper Console.
Check your connectivity first
Before reporting an outage, verify that the issue is not local to your network or device:
- Try accessing the Artifacts Registry from a different machine or network.
- Confirm that your internet connection is stable and that you can reach other Esper services.
- Clear your browser cache and try again, or use an incognito/private browsing window.
If you can access the registry from another machine or network, the issue is local to your setup. If the registry remains unreachable from multiple locations and devices, proceed to the next section.
Report the outage to Esper Support
If the Artifacts Registry is unavailable from multiple locations, contact Esper Support immediately. Provide the following information:
- The exact time you first noticed the outage.
- The specific operation you were attempting (for example, downloading an artifact or publishing a new version).
- Whether the issue affects your entire account or only specific projects or users.
- Any error messages or HTTP status codes you received.
- Your tenant or environment identifier if you have multiple Esper environments.
Submit a support ticket with these details. Esper Support will investigate and restore service.
What happens next
Once you've reported the outage, Esper Engineering will:
- Confirm whether the registry is unreachable for all customers or only your account.
- Restart the Artifacts Registry service and verify it comes online.
- Ensure the service is configured to recover automatically if the underlying server restarts unexpectedly.
- Add or verify monitoring so future outages are detected and resolved quickly.
- Notify you when service is fully restored.
Still need help?
If the Artifacts Registry remains unavailable after you've contacted Esper Support, or if you experience recurring outages, submit a follow-up support ticket with any new error messages or details about the issue.
