The Esper Console breadcrumb navigation in the new dashboard doesn't show intermediate group levels as clickable links. This article explains what's happening and how to navigate your device groups more efficiently.

Understanding the breadcrumb limitation

When you view a device in the new Esper dashboard, the breadcrumb navigation bar shows your current location in the hierarchy. However, you can only click on two items:

• Devices & Groups (the top level)
• The device name (current page)

Any intermediate group names appear as plain text and aren't clickable. For example, if you're viewing a device in a group called bh-banner-scottsdale, that group name won't be a link. To return to that group, you must navigate back to Devices & Groups and search for it again.

How to navigate groups more efficiently

While we work on improving the breadcrumb navigation, you can use this workaround to access your groups faster:

1. In the Esper Console, open the left-hand navigation panel.
2. Locate Devices & Groups in the navigation tree.
3. Expand the tree to show your groups by clicking the arrow or expand icon next to group names.
4. Pin frequently used groups to the top of the tree for quicker access. Look for a pin icon next to group names.

This reduces the number of clicks needed to jump between groups you use regularly.
