Creating a separate Esper account/environment: self-serve signup or sales-assisted onboarding
Android
If you need a separate, independent Esper account or environment—for example, to isolate production and staging devices, manage separate business units, or create a new tenant—you have two options: self-serve signup or sales-assisted onboarding. This article explains both paths and when to use each.
How to create a new Esper account with self-serve signup
- Visit the Esper self-serve signup page:
https://your-tenant.esper.io/signup - Complete the registration form with your email and account details.
- Verify your email address when prompted.
- Log into your new tenant using your chosen endpoint at
[your-chosen-endpoint].esper.cloud
Your new tenant is fully independent. Your devices, users, blueprints, apps, and billing are completely separate from your existing Esper account.
When to use sales-assisted onboarding instead
If any of the following apply to you, contact the Esper sales or account team instead of using self-serve signup:
- You need to consolidate billing across multiple tenants.
- You have an enterprise agreement and want the new tenant linked to your existing contract.
- You are a reseller or managed service provider (MSP) needing white-label or sub-tenant capabilities.
- You require special configurations or multi-tenant management at the back end.
Your account team will work with you directly to provision the account and handle any licensing or billing questions.
Troubleshooting signup errors
If you encounter an error during self-serve signup—such as a domain conflict, SSO restriction, or account collision—note the exact error message and the email address you used. Then contact Esper Support with these details so we can investigate.
What to know about independent tenants
- Each tenant created via self-serve signup is fully independent. Device data, users, and configurations are not shared across tenants.
- There is no console-level option to create a sub-account or link tenants within the Esper Console. Multi-tenant management is handled outside the standard UI.
- If you need the new tenant associated with an existing billing or enterprise agreement, you must work with your account team rather than using self-serve signup.
