Second Esper tenant with same email — setup and sign-in steps
Android
When you create a second Esper tenant using the same email address, you may receive a delayed confirmation email, fail to receive one at all, or find yourself unable to sign in because the Console login field asks for your tenant name rather than your email address.
Why this happens
Each Esper tenant is a fully independent environment identified by a unique tenant name, not by an email address. The Esper Console login page requires that tenant name as the first credential, which is easy to confuse with an email address if you have multiple tenants. Additionally, confirmation emails from @esper.io are sometimes filtered by corporate spam or allowlist policies before they reach your inbox.
Before you begin
Multi-tenant setups using a single email address may not be available on all Esper plans. Contact Esper Support to confirm your plan supports this before proceeding.
Create the second tenant
- Navigate to https://esper.io/signup and complete the sign-up form. Do not reuse your existing tenant URL — this form must be completed fresh for each new tenant.
- Choose a unique tenant name for the new organization (for example,
mmcsecurity). This name becomes the subdomain of your tenant URL: https://mmcsecurity.esper.cloud. Write it down — you will need it every time you sign in. - Submit the form. Esper sends a confirmation email to the address you provided.
Verify your confirmation email
- Check your inbox for an Esper "Get Started" email. Allow up to five minutes for delivery.
- If the email has not arrived, check your spam and junk folders.
- If your organization uses an email allowlist, add
@esper.ioto it and then repeat the sign-up process, as confirmation emails are sent only at the moment of form submission. - Open the confirmation email and click the verification link to activate the new tenant.
Sign in to the new tenant
- Go to https://<new-tenant-name>.esper.cloud, replacing
<new-tenant-name>with the tenant name you chose at sign-up. - In the first login field, enter your tenant name (for example,
mmcsecurity). This field does not accept an email address — entering your email here will cause the login to fail. - Enter your email address and password in the subsequent fields, then sign in.
If this doesn't resolve it
If the confirmation email never arrives after allowlisting @esper.io and retrying, or if sign-in continues to fail after confirming you are entering the tenant name correctly, contact Esper Support with the following information:
- The tenant name you chose during sign-up
- The email address used to register
- A screenshot of the login screen showing both fields as you have filled them in
- The name of your existing tenant, so Support can confirm there are no account-linking conflicts
Still need help?
If you're unable to access your second Esper tenant or encounter sign-in issues after following these steps, submit a support ticket and include both tenant names and the email address associated with your accounts.
