Esper Console login fails after inactivity — reset your password
Android
When you attempt to log in to the Esper Console after an extended period of inactivity, you may see a login failure or find that your credentials are no longer accepted.
Why this happens
Passwords on Esper-managed tenants can expire after a period of inactivity, or you may simply no longer remember the password set at initial login. In either case, the self-service password reset flow restores access without requiring administrator intervention.
Before you begin
Have the following ready before starting:
- Your tenant URL in the format
https://[tenant-name].esper.cloud/ - The email address you registered with
- Access to that email inbox, including its spam or junk folder
Reset your password
- Navigate to
https://[tenant-name].esper.cloud/to open the Esper Console login page. - Click Forgot Password on the login page.
- Enter the email address associated with your Esper account and submit the form.
- Open your email inbox and locate the password reset message from Esper. If it does not appear within a few minutes, check your spam or junk folder.
- Click the reset link in the email and enter a new password when prompted. Password reset links expire after a short period, so complete this step promptly.
- Return to
https://[tenant-name].esper.cloud/and log in with your new password.
If you do not receive the reset email
Check that the email address you entered exactly matches the one used to register your account. Common mismatches include:
- Capitalisation differences — for example,
John.Smith@example.comvsjohn.smith@example.com - Domain spelling errors
- Leading or trailing spaces copied into the field
If the address is correct and no email arrives, ask your email administrator to confirm that messages from esper.cloud are not being filtered or quarantined at the domain level.
If your account was removed from the tenant
If your account no longer exists on the tenant, the password reset flow will not restore access. Ask a tenant administrator to re-invite you by going to User Management → Invite User in the Esper Console.
If your tenant uses single sign-on (SSO)
Tenants configured with SSO or SAML authentication manage credentials outside the Esper Console. The Forgot Password option will not be available in this case. Contact your organisation's identity provider administrator to reset your credentials, then return to the Esper Console login page and authenticate through your SSO provider as normal.
If this doesn't resolve it
Contact Esper Support and include the following information to speed up investigation:
- Your tenant URL (
https://[tenant-name].esper.cloud/) - The email address associated with your account
- A description of any error message displayed at login
- Whether your tenant is configured with SSO or SAML
