CoPilot GPS "This map was not found" error after installation via Blueprint
Android
If you've deployed CoPilot GPS through an Esper Blueprint and the app shows an error message "This map was not found" after you sign in, follow these steps to resolve the issue.
Before you begin
Verify that CoPilot GPS has installed successfully on your device. In the Esper Console, go to Devices & Groups → [Device Name] → Apps and confirm that CoPilot GPS shows a status of Installed. If you see an install error, resolve that first before continuing.
Step 1: Check your network connection
CoPilot GPS requires unrestricted internet access to download map data. Verify the following:
- Confirm your device has active internet connectivity.
- If your Blueprint includes network policies or an allowlist, check that CoPilot's map servers are not blocked. You may need to allow access to
*.copilot.comand related map tile endpoints. For the exact domains required, contact CoPilot's support team.
Step 2: Verify app permissions in your Blueprint
- In the Esper Console, go to Blueprints → [Blueprint Name] → Apps → CoPilot GPS → Permissions.
- Confirm that storage and location permissions are set to
Granted. - If you make any changes, reapply the Blueprint to your device.
Step 3: Check your CoPilot account entitlement
The error "This map was not found" typically indicates that your CoPilot account does not have an active map subscription for your region. Ask your CoPilot account administrator to verify that:
- The account you used to sign in has an active subscription
- Map data is available for your region
Step 4: Collect a device bug report
If the above steps don't resolve the issue, capture a bug report to help identify the root cause:
- Reproduce the error on your device.
- Go to Devices & Groups → [Device Name] → Actions → Request Bug Report.
- Wait for the bug report to complete.
Step 5: Verify the fix
After applying the fixes above, relaunch CoPilot GPS and confirm that:
- The map downloads without the error message
- The map renders correctly in the app
Still need help?
If you've completed these steps and the issue persists, contact Esper Support and include the bug report you collected. If the error continues after confirming your network access and account entitlement, you may also need to reach out to CoPilot's support team, as the error originates from their application.
