Inventory Pane State Not Persisted in Devices & Groups — Feature Not Supported (Submitted as Product Request)

The Inventory Pane in the Esper Console Advanced View does not remember whether you've closed it. Each time you navigate to or reload the Devices & Groups page, the pane returns to its default expanded state. This article explains what's happening and what you can do.

What you're experiencing

When you open the Devices & Groups page in Advanced View and close the Inventory Pane on the left side, the pane reopens automatically the next time you visit that page. The Esper Console does not currently save your pane preference between sessions.

Why this happens

The Esper Console does not yet include a feature to persist (save) the open or closed state of the Inventory Pane. Each page load resets the pane to its default expanded state. This is a missing feature, not a bug or system error.

Workarounds

There are no workarounds available. You will need to close the Inventory Pane manually each time you navigate to the Devices & Groups page.

What Esper is doing about this

We've logged this as a product feature request with our engineering team for future consideration. We don't currently have a timeline for implementation.
