Esper Console dashboard inaccessible — "Something went wrong" error blocking all users
Android
Title: Esper Console shows "Something went wrong" — dashboard inaccessibleWhen navigating to the Esper Console dashboard, a "Something went wrong" error appears and prevents access for one or more users in your organization.
Why this happens
This error typically has one of three causes: a stale browser session or corrupted cache is presenting an invalid authentication state; the affected user account has a permission or session conflict on the Esper platform; or an active platform incident is temporarily affecting Console availability for all users in a tenant.
Steps
-
Rule out a browser or session issue. Open your Esper Console URL (for example,
mytenant.esper.cloud) in an incognito or private browsing window and log in with your credentials. A private window bypasses cached cookies and saved session tokens that can corrupt the authentication flow. If the dashboard loads, clear your browser cache and cookies in your normal browser, then log in again. - Try a different browser. If the error persists in incognito mode, open the same Console URL in a different browser (for example, switch from Chrome to Firefox or Edge). This confirms whether the issue is tied to a specific browser installation rather than your account or the platform.
- Determine whether the issue affects only your account. Ask another user in your organization to attempt to log in to the Esper Console. If the other user can access the dashboard without error, the issue is isolated to your account. Proceed to If this doesn't resolve it below and include your tenant URL and username when contacting support.
- Check the Esper status page. If all users in your organization see the same error, visit status.esper.io and look for any active incidents or ongoing maintenance affecting the Console. If an incident is posted, no action is required on your end — subscribe to status notifications to receive automatic updates when the issue is resolved.
Verify: After clearing your cache or resolving a session issue, log in to the Esper Console in your normal browser. The dashboard should load fully within 30 seconds with all device and group data visible. If a platform incident was posted, the Console should be accessible within the timeframe stated in the incident update on the status page.
If this doesn't resolve it
If the dashboard remains inaccessible after completing all steps above and no incident is posted on the status page, contact Esper Support and include the following information to allow for rapid investigation:
- The exact error message displayed on screen
- Your tenant URL (for example,
mytenant.esper.cloud) - The browser name and version you are using
- Whether the error affects all users in your organization or only your account
- The approximate date and time the error first appeared, including your time zone
- A screenshot of the error, if possible
- The steps you have already attempted from this article
Still need help?
If the steps above don't resolve the issue, submit a support ticket with your device model, Android version, Esper Agent version, and a description of what you've already tried — this helps the support team investigate without a follow-up.
