Esper Console Dashboard tab crashes or fails to load for all users
Android
When the Esper Console Dashboard tab crashes or fails to load for every user on your tenant at the same time, the page either renders blank, shows an error, or freezes on load across all accounts.
Why this happens
A simultaneous failure across all users on a tenant points to a platform-level issue with the Dashboard component, not a browser or account configuration problem. Individual browser issues — cached data, extensions, or corrupted cookies — affect only a single user and are ruled out when the failure is tenant-wide.
Steps to resolve
- Test in an incognito or private browser window. Open Chrome or Edge in incognito/private mode, navigate to the Esper Console, and attempt to load the Dashboard tab. This rules out browser extensions, cached session data, and corrupted cookies as contributors. If the Dashboard loads in incognito but not in a normal window, clear your browser cache and cookies and retry in a normal window before continuing.
- Verify whether other Console sections are affected. Navigate to Devices & Groups and Apps & Configuration and confirm whether those sections load normally. If only the Dashboard tab fails while the rest of the Console works, the issue is isolated to the Dashboard component and is not a full platform outage.
- Confirm the issue affects multiple team members. Ask at least one other user on your tenant to attempt to load the Dashboard tab at the same time. If all users experience the crash simultaneously, this confirms a platform-level issue. If only your account is affected, navigate to IAM → Users → [Your Username] and verify that your role has Dashboard access permissions assigned.
- Use Devices & Groups as a workaround during the outage. All device management actions — including pushing commands, updating configurations, and reviewing device status — remain available under Devices & Groups while the Dashboard component is unavailable.
-
Hard-refresh your browser after a fix is confirmed. Once Esper has confirmed a backend fix has been deployed, clear the cached page state with a hard refresh:
- Windows: Ctrl + Shift + R
- Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
If this doesn't resolve it
If the Dashboard tab still fails to load after completing these steps, contact Esper Support and provide the following information to speed up diagnosis:
- Your tenant endpoint URL (for example,
yourcompany.esper.cloud) - Whether the issue affects all team members or only your account
- The exact date and time the issue started, including your timezone
- A screenshot or screen recording of the error or blank state you see when loading the Dashboard tab
- The browser name and version you are using
Still need help?
If the steps above don't resolve the issue, submit a support ticket with your device model, Android version, Esper Agent version, and a description of what you've already tried — this helps the support team investigate without a follow-up.
