Esper Dashboard fails to load while other console sections work: troubleshooting steps
Android
Title: Esper Console Dashboard fails to load — troubleshooting stepsWhen the Dashboard tab fails to load in the Esper Console, you may see a blank page, a spinner that never resolves, or missing widgets, while all other sections such as Devices & Groups continue to work normally.
Why this happens
The Dashboard tab loads data from a separate set of backend services compared to the rest of the Esper Console. If those services experience a disruption, only the Dashboard is affected. In some cases, a stale browser cache or a network-level issue can also prevent the Dashboard from rendering correctly for an individual user.
Step 1: Determine whether the issue affects your whole organization or just you
- Open the Esper Console and navigate to Devices & Groups to confirm other sections load normally.
- Ask at least one other user in your organization to attempt loading the Dashboard from their account. This distinguishes a platform-wide outage from a browser or account-specific problem.
If multiple users are affected
This indicates a platform-level service disruption. No configuration changes are required on your end.
- Continue device management using Devices & Groups as a temporary alternative while the issue is resolved.
- Reload the Esper Console periodically. Once the platform issue is resolved, the Dashboard will load automatically on refresh.
If only you are affected
Follow these steps to rule out browser, cache, or network issues.
- Clear your browser cache and cookies, then attempt to load the Dashboard again. Stale cached data can prevent the Dashboard from rendering even after a platform fix is deployed.
- Open a private or incognito window and navigate directly to the Dashboard tab.
- Try a different supported browser. Chrome and Firefox are recommended for the Esper Console.
- Connect from a different network (for example, switch from corporate Wi-Fi to a mobile hotspot) to rule out a network-level block or proxy interference.
- Log out of the Esper Console, log back in, and navigate to the Dashboard tab.
If this doesn't resolve it
Contact Esper Support and include the following information so the issue can be investigated without delay:
- Your organization's tenant URL (for example,
yourcompany.esper.cloud) - The email address of the affected user account or accounts
- Whether the issue affects one user or multiple users in your organization
- A screenshot of the Dashboard in its broken state
- Browser console error logs — press
F12, select the Console tab, reproduce the issue, and attach a screenshot of any errors shown
Still need help?
If the steps above don't resolve the issue, submit a support ticket with your device model, Android version, Esper Agent version, and a description of what you've already tried — this helps the support team investigate without a follow-up.
