Title: Gesture navigation unavailable via Blueprint on Rhino T80 — configure manually or hide nav bar

When a Blueprint or Advanced Settings JSON is applied to a Rhino Mobility T80, the device continues to show 3-button navigation even though the Esper Console reports the settings were applied successfully.

Why this happens

The Rhino Mobility T80 does not expose an Android management API for system navigation mode. Because no such API exists on this hardware, neither Blueprints nor Advanced Settings JSON can instruct the device to switch navigation modes. The success confirmation in the Esper Console means the payload was delivered — not that the device acted on it. This is an OEM hardware limitation, not an Esper platform issue.

Option 1: Hide the navigation bar in Kiosk mode (Supervisor Plugin)

If your devices run in Kiosk mode, the Rhino T80 Supervisor Plugin can remove the navigation bar entirely. Note that this hides all system navigation controls — Back, Home, and Recents — so your application must provide its own in-app navigation.

1. Contact Esper Support and request that the signed Rhino T80 Supervisor Plugin be uploaded to your tenant. This cannot be self-uploaded; it must be provisioned by Esper Support.
2. Once Support confirms the plugin is available in your tenant, open the Esper Console and navigate to Blueprints.
3. Open the blueprint applied to your Rhino T80 devices, or create a new one.
4. In the blueprint configuration, locate the Supervisor Plugin settings and enable the hideNavBarInKioskMode capability.
5. Save the blueprint and push it to your Rhino T80 device group under Devices & Groups.

Verify: After blueprint convergence (allow up to 5 minutes), the navigation bar should be completely absent from the Kiosk mode screen. Confirm this on the device by launching the kiosk app — no navigation bar or gesture hint bar should be visible.

Option 2: Set gesture navigation manually on each device

If Kiosk mode is not in use, gesture navigation must be configured directly on each device. There is no supported mechanism to automate this at the Blueprint level until Rhino Mobility exposes a management API for this setting.

1. On the device, open the native Settings app.
2. Navigate to System → Gestures → System Navigation. The exact path may vary slightly depending on the firmware version installed.
3. Select Gesture Navigation.
4. Repeat these steps on every Rhino T80 device that requires gesture navigation.

Verify: The bottom navigation bar is replaced by a gesture hint bar (a small pill indicator at the bottom of the screen) immediately after the setting is changed.

If this doesn't resolve it

If the Supervisor Plugin has been uploaded to your tenant and the hideNavBarInKioskMode behavior is still not working after blueprint convergence, contact Esper Support with the following information:

• The device serial number or Esper Device ID, found in Devices & Groups → [Device Name] → Device Info
• A screenshot of the blueprint configuration showing the hideNavBarInKioskMode setting enabled
• The Supervisor Plugin version installed on the device
• Device logs from Devices & Groups → [Device Name] → Activity Feed
