APK Version Name sorting applies only to current page (pagination scope), not all uploaded versions
Android
Title: APK version sort limited to current page — use Version Code or Uploaded OnWhen sorting APK versions by Version Name in the Esper Console, only the versions visible on the current page are sorted, not all uploaded versions for that app.
Why this happens
The Version Name field is a free-text string set by the developer (for example, "2.1-beta" or "March Release"), so the Esper Console cannot reliably sort it across paginated results. Version Code and Uploaded On are strictly numeric or date-based fields, which allows the Console to sort them globally across all pages regardless of how many versions are uploaded.
How to find the APK version you need
- In the Esper Console, navigate to Apps & Configuration → Apps and select the app from your inventory.
- Open the Versions list for that app. By default, five versions are shown per page.
- Instead of sorting by Version Name, sort by one of the following globally-sorted columns:
- Version Code — sorts all uploaded versions numerically across every page.
- Uploaded On — sorts all uploaded versions by upload date across every page.
- Use the column header to toggle ascending or descending order, then page through the results. The sort order persists across all pages when using either of these columns.
Confirming the sort is global
- Note the Version Code or Uploaded On values shown on page one after applying the sort.
- Navigate to page two and confirm the values continue in the same ascending or descending sequence from where page one ended. If they do, the sort is applied globally.
If this doesn't resolve it
If Version Code or Uploaded On also appears to reset sort order when you change pages, collect the following before contacting Esper Support:
- The name of the app and the total number of uploaded versions.
- Screenshots showing the last entry on one page and the first entry on the next page for the column you sorted by.
- The browser name and version you are using to access the Esper Console.
Still need help?
If the steps above don't resolve the issue, submit a support ticket with your device model, Android version, Esper Agent version, and a description of what you've already tried — this helps the support team investigate without a follow-up.
