If you've successfully onboarded a device through a Blueprint and it has been assigned an Esper ID, but the device doesn't appear in its assigned group or in the Devices & Groups list, this is likely a display issue with your console session. Follow these steps to refresh your view and see the device.
How to refresh your console session
- Navigate to Devices & Groups in the Esper Console.
- Note the current device count displayed for your Blueprint group.
- Perform a hard refresh of your browser to bypass the cache:
- Windows/Linux: Press
Ctrl + Shift + R - macOS: Press
Cmd + Shift + R
- Windows/Linux: Press
- If the device still doesn't appear, log out of the Esper Console completely using the account menu in the top-right corner.
- Log back in and navigate to Devices & Groups to view your Blueprint group.
- Use the search bar within Devices & Groups to search for the device by its Esper ID or device name.
After refreshing your session
The device count for your Blueprint group should now reflect the correct number of devices, and your device should appear in search results and within the group's device list.
If the device still doesn't appear
-
Check All Devices: Navigate to Devices & Groups and view the All Devices list to see if the device exists in your account but is assigned to a different group or is in a
ProvisioningorUnmanagedstate. - Verify onboarding completion: Confirm that the device displays its Esper ID on-screen or in the Esper Agent and is not stuck in a provisioning pending state.
- Check the provisioning endpoint: Verify that the device was provisioned against the correct tenant URL during onboarding. If it was provisioned against a different tenant, it will not appear in your console.
Still need help?
If the device is confirmed absent across all views despite completing the provisioning flow, contact Esper Support and provide the following details:
- The Esper ID assigned to the device
- The Blueprint name used for provisioning
- The provisioning method used (QR code, Zero-Touch, KME, or ABM)
- Approximate timestamp of when provisioning was completed
