Devices not visible in Esper Console after Blueprint assignment: use Blueprint filter in Devices & Groups to locate them
Android
If your devices disappear from the Esper Console after assigning them to a Blueprint, they're likely filtered out of the current view. Learn how to locate them using the Blueprint filter in Devices & Groups.
Why devices aren't visible after Blueprint assignment
When you assign devices to a specific Blueprint (such as "Employee All"), the Esper Console filters the device list based on your current Blueprint selection. If you're viewing a different Blueprint or an unfiltered view, assigned devices won't appear. The devices are provisioned and functioning correctly — they're simply outside your active filter scope.
How to find your devices
- In the Esper Console, navigate to Devices & Groups.
- At the top of the device list, locate the Blueprint filter control.
- Click the Blueprint dropdown and select the Blueprint you assigned your devices to (for example, Employee All).
- Your devices will now appear in the list. Verify they show the correct status (online/offline, last check-in time, and compliance state).
If devices still don't appear
- Verify Blueprint assignment: Navigate to the individual device record and check that it was successfully assigned to the correct Blueprint. If no Blueprint assignment exists, go to Device Details → Blueprint → Apply and manually assign it.
- Check provisioning status: Confirm the device completed provisioning by reviewing enrollment logs.
- Review account permissions: Ensure your user account has role-based access to view devices under the target Blueprint. Restricted roles may limit device visibility.
