Kiosk Mode turned off on one device over the weekend — nothing changed in the console

This is almost always caused by someone accessing the Esper Settings panel directly on the device and disabling Kiosk Mode manually through the Admin Mode interface.

The Esper Settings app on managed devices includes an Admin Mode section that exposes device-level controls — including the ability to toggle Kiosk Mode on or off locally. If on-site staff know the Admin Mode PIN (or if it hasn't been set), they can make this change directly on the device without touching the console. The change takes effect immediately and persists until a Blueprint re-apply overrides it.

To prevent this from happening again:

    1. Set a strong Admin Mode PIN.
In the Esper console, go to your Blueprint → Esper SettingsAdmin Mode PIN. Set a PIN that is not shared with on-site staff. This is the most direct fix.
    2. Restrict access to the Esper Settings app entirely.
If on-site staff should not have access to any device settings, you can remove the Esper Settings shortcut from the kiosk UI or hide it through the Blueprint's app visibility configuration.
    3. Enable change notifications.
Consider setting up a webhook for device.compliance_change events so you receive an alert the moment any device exits its expected Blueprint state. See Webhooks documentation for setup.

Re-applying the Blueprint as you did is the correct recovery step. Glad it's back in Kiosk Mode.
